Athletes who are ready to take control of their development will excel in this style of camp!

Why are we different from other camps?

Every session is led by a coach whose full time profession is to teach technical skill development relevant to todays progressive game. That is a lot of hours spent on mastering skill instruction and athlete development.

We teach and reinforce motor learning habits daily, sending athletes home with the tools to keep improving beyond our gym.

Our training environment, drills and tournament structures promote opportunities for individual improvement. 

We welcome all skill levels. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or an Olympic athlete, there is always something to work on in regards to your own personal technical development.

CAMP details

GENERAL INFORMATION

For both day and overnight campers, this camp includes:

  • on court technical skill training led by a professional coaching staff, elite guest coaches and supported by assistant coaches who are current/former professional/university athletes. 
  • Structured activities from 9am - 9pm (From 3pm Sunday to 3pm Thursday)
  • Daily game play opportunities for transfer of skill work into game scenarios - essential to effective mastery of skills worked on in the morning sessions. 
  • Positional training
  • Guest coach sessions run by University/professional coaches. 
  • Leadership training 
  • Scavenger hunt activity and time to explore the village of Canmore (2.5 hours structured exploring time)
  • Fun games and prizes throughout the camp
  • Recreation activity day: Takes place on Wednesday of camp. See below for explanation.

 Recreation Day options available (selected and paid for at online registration):

Yoga Workshop:
Includes 1.5 hour workshop style session and recovery flow with certified instructor. 

Paddleboard Experience:  
Includes 1 hour Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) instruction/guided paddle with Bow Valley SUP
Inclues all gear rental fees. Athletes walk supervised on a beautiful nature trail to the Canmore Reservoir. 

Rafting Experience 
Includes a guided rafting trip on the Kananaskis River (Class 2-3 rapids) with Chinook Rafting 
Includes transportation and all gear rentals. 

Training Location

Training takes place at Canmore Collegiate High School. Athlete's should be prepared for  BOTHindoor and grass volleyball sessions.

Training schedule

Athletes should be prepared for the following (but not limited to):

  • Morning: indoor & grass training
  • Afternoon: Training and other fun activities at various locations (will be communicated on schedule provided in information packages)
  • Evening: Grass tournament play (weather permitting- otherwise indoor activities will substitute)
  • We keep athlete development in mind; to maximize development we combine appropriate amounts of on court training with structured breaks to promote periods of rest and recovery.

Overnight specifics

Please view the sample schedule to familiarize yourself with the overnight camp details.

Athletes will sleep on site in classrooms. Rooms are chosen at check in by athletes so they can be with friends or meet new ones if travelling solo.

  • 12-15 athletes per room
  • Athlete required to provide air bed, bedding, pillows, towel.

Athletes will receive three catered meals per day on site. 

  • Hot and cold breakfast items
  • Buffet style lunch
  • Hot dinner 
  • Dessert options
  • Allergies and special diets can be accomodated

Evening Activities:

At the end of the day after showers, athletes will participate in organized evening activities before bed.

Other Notes:

Athletes are encouraged to bring non-perishable nut free snacks with them to camp. Fridges not provided. 

Day camp Specifics

Day camp does not include accommodations or meals.
Meal time is unsupervised for day camp athletes unless chosen to stay signed in with the group

  • Athletes are welcome to bring their own lunches and dinners and eat/spend break times with the group.
  • Microwaves are provided, however fridge space is not.
  • A meal add on form will be provided in the information package - meals can be paid for at this time (lunches and dinners only)
  • A pizza dinner is provided for all athletes day and overnight on Wednesday evening. This is included in camp fee but is optional. 


Evening Activities:

Day camp does not include evening activities. Athlete sign out is required after the wrap up of the evening volleyball session.
Other Notes:

Athletes are encouraged to bring non-perishable nut free snacks with them to camp. Fridges not provided. 

Pre camp specifics

Schedule and packing list will be emailed to each participant approximately 2 -3 weeks  before the camp start date.

REFUND POLICY 

 
 

Please be sure you understand the policy before contacting us regarding refunds as this policy is firm. Registration is made at your own risk knowing this information. Please read below.

June 1 - Full camp fee refund minus online registration system fees for requests submitted before 12pm on June 1.

June 1- July 1 - Refunds minus online registration system fees and $20 admin fee are available providing your athlete's spot in the camp can be filled. While we will attempt to fill your spot with an athlete on our waitlist, we cannot guarantee we will be able to do so.

After July 1 - We are unable to provide refunds for cancellation requests inside this time frame. All expenses are incurred and it is very unlikely we are able to fill your spot. 

Please read and understand the below explanation of our policies:

 This camp operates at capacity for an ideal training group size. This group size ensures that each athlete receives individual coaching from our lead coaches, while also ensuring a big enough group to create a great experience off court. After June 1 all expenses are incurred to hold an athletes position in the camp and individuals on the waiting list have made alternate plans, meaning cancelled spots remain unfilled and the camp structure compromised.

Exception: if there is a significant injury that occurs prior to camp. In this case a Doctors note will be required and eligible athletes may receive a prorated refund based on expenses already incurred. This is NOT guaranteed and depends on a number of factors.
